My passion for racing
really was a childhood dream. I always had a love for cars and although not
very fortunate, I had the rare opportunity to stealing my dad’s cars and
finding myself in trouble all the time. From the mighty 30s to the BMW 540 and
Audi 500 and so on.
After many years of
attending various illegal drags, the defining moment for me came in June 2001. This was the year the movie Fast and
Furious was released. This was the same month a legend was born (ME).
So I get up in the
morning and start doing my research.
After months of tracking the right people, I met with an Owner of a
charity organization Jake Aired. His main aim of raising funds for this
organization was to import cars from All over the world and sell them at a
profit. This was my man.
I was very specific
with color and specs. I wanted a 3.0Litre twin turbo Quick Silver Edition in
Black. Would you believe my surprise when the guys tells me he managed to find
one the very next day.
Now if anyone knows
bringing these cars into the country is like bringing in a container of Drugs.
Everyone thinks you working for the underworld and the entire countries legal
system is on you like a rash.
Nonetheless, I got all
the details and started money transfers, the car was Brought to South Africa
and Docked in Durban in 2005. It took me the best part of file years to get the
car registered and 100% legal.
As soon as all the
necessary documents were in order and in check with Import Control, SARS and
SABS, my project was finally going into effect. For the best part of 5 Years
